The Montasio is a beautiful plateau, 6 Km away from Sella Nevea.
It is a well known pastoral area, famous for the Montasio cheese, sold in the whole Italy. During the summer, it is possible to enjoy the untouched nature, the rocks emerging from the greens pastures like apparently inaccessible walls, and the fresh dairy products, sold on the spot.
In the winter, the road that accesses the plateau is closed, hence leaving the area in a perfect state of peace and exclusivity. In this season, the Montasio becomes and ideal place for cross-country and alpine skiing, hiking or simply strolling along the numerous white paths.
