CANIN SKI ARENA PROJECT
The project Canin Ski Arena foresees the realization of the following infrastructures:
1) Link via cable-way between Sella Nevea and Bovec, on the south side of the Canin mountain chain. The link should be completed within December 2008. See Slovita paragraph below for details.
2) Poviz chairlift to replace the existing 2 ski-lift and benefit from the Red and Blue pist of Poviz.
3) Slope from Sella Golovec to Sella Nevea: a wonderful 4 km slope covering 1000 Mt of quote
4) Slopes across the Poviz area between 1700 e i 2200 Mt high..
The result would be 50 miles of slopes, set in a unique natural environment, with amazing landscapes and great possibilities of off-pists.
SLOVITA
The SLOVITA cableway will link the resorts of Sella Nevea and Bovec, situated on the south side of Mt Canin. The link will be a cross-borders link through Sella Prevala and its completion is currently forecasted for October 2009.
Characteristics of the ski plant:
Type: FUNIFOR, with double rope for each of the 2 cabins of 100 people capacity
Engine station with hydraulic tensor of the pulling rope.
